Jordan Brand is back with another new spin on the Jordan 5's most famous OG colorway with the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Alternate Grape". The latest in a lineage that begins with the OG "Grape" in 1990 and includes the "Black Grape" in 2013, "Pre-Grape" in 2015 and the laceless "Fresh Prince" version of the OG in 2018, the "Alternate Grape" may just be the grapiest of the bunch.

The shoe features a suede upper covered entirely in a deep shade of purple with a black leather tongue, laces, lining, eyelets and heel-based Jumpman. New Emerald accents the Jumpman on the tongue, as well as the lacelock, insole and speckled sharkteeth detail on the midsole. The black midsole holds a Max Air unit in the heel and is covered with a translucent rubber outsole to finish off the design.
