If you are looking to cop a new pair of Jordans this weekend, then you are in luck. City Blue will have 3 new Jordan Retro releases, as well as a new colorway in the Air Jordan XXX arriving this Saturday in stores and via email orders. Lets take a closer look at these four new Jordan Brand sneaks, shall we?
First up is a new colorway of the Air Jordan XXX, a Gym Red and Black combo known as "Bulls" for obvious reasons. Flyknit and Jaquard combine to create a seamless and lightweight upper in a gradient red to black look with black accents. Jumpman branding on the toecap, a knit XXX on the heel and a globe graphic on the tongue call attention to the worldwide phenomena that is Michael Jordan's 30th signature sneaker.
Next up is the Air Jordan 2 Retro Low "Chicago". Mike's second shoe is most notable for making him almost quit Nike for Adidas, as well as being the shoe he was wearing when he broke his ankle. The "Chicago" Low is back for the first time since 1994, features a Bulls-centric colorway of tumbled white leather with red and black accents and comes in both men's and kids' sizes.
Saturday will also see two releases exclusively in kids sizes: the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Cool Grey" and the Air Jordan 12 Retro "Melo". The "Cool Grey" Jordan 6 is made up of a Cool Grey nubuck and black tumbled leather upper with a matching midsole. White highlights the branding and outlines the heel-based visible air unit, while an icy blue outsole completes the look.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro "Melo" got its nickname due to their strong resemblance to a pair of Carmelo Anthony Jordan 12 PE's he wore while playing with the Denver Nuggets. Last seen on shelves in 2004, the shoe consists of a white tumbled leather upper with University Blue on the lining, heel, sole and branding. Gold eyelets on the ankle put the finishing touch on a shoe that is inexplicably not available for adult males. Seriously, both of these kids-only Jordan Retros would look great in a men's 13... what's the deal?
The Air Jordan XXX, Air Jordan 2, and Air Jordan 6 will be available both in-store and via email order beginning at 8 a.m. this Saturday, May 21. The Air Jordan 12 will only be available in-store, contact your local City Blue for availability.
