In the summer of 1991, on the heels of Michael Jordan winning his first championship, the “Like Mike” Gatorade commercial captivated a generation. It was an instant classic, with a super catchy jingle and one of the best slogans of all time: "Be Like Mike. Drink Gatorade." Now Jordan Brand is paying tribute to this iconic pop culture moment with the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Like Mike" and the "Be Like Mike" apparel collection.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro "Like Mike" features a  premium leather and nubuck upper dressed in white with Gatorade green and orange color-blocking in the style of the "Carmine" 6's that MJ wore in the commercial. Details like a squeeze bottle-inspired lace lock, Gatorade logo-branded sockliners, and "IF I COULD BE" embroidered inside each tongue complete the tribute.

Coinciding with the release of the shoe is the Jordan "Be Like Mike" apparel collection that includes tees, hoodies, crews, shorts, hats and a coaches jacket that all pay homage to the famous commercial.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro "Like Mike" will be available Saturday, Dec. 16th at 10:00am in-store at select City Blue locations and online via email order.
